Machine Overview

The 2006 Hermle C40U Dynamic 5-Axis CNC Machining Center is a high-performance machining center designed for precision, efficiency, and complex multi-axis machining applications. Built by Hermle, the C40U Dynamic combines a large work envelope with an NC-controlled swiveling rotary table and simultaneous 5-axis machining capability for demanding production environments.

This machine is equipped with a 10,000 RPM HSK-A63 spindle, delivering 32 kW of spindle power and 200 Nm of torque. The machine features 850 mm X-axis, 700 mm Y-axis, and 500 mm Z-axis travel, along with rapid traverse rates of 60 m/min. A 38-pocket automatic tool changer, Renishaw MP40-2LS probing system, chip conveyor, and auto-fill coolant system further enhance its production capabilities.

The NC-controlled swiveling rotary table provides a 700 x 700 mm clamping surface, a maximum table load of 1,400 kg, and high-speed A- and C-axis positioning for complex 5-axis machining.
